SPSE supplies the refineries and a petrochemical plant located along the inland axis from Fos to Karlsruhe (769 km or 477 miles) in 3 different countries (France, Switzerland, Germany). The present level of transport, approximately 23 million metric tons per year, represents more than 30% of the crude oil pipeline transport in Europe in "ton.kilometers". Other pipelines complete the European network beginning from the Mediterranean, the English Channel, and the North Sea, supplying all of the refineries in the interior of Western Europe.
